  1. This archive contains the 2.2 updates for GPFax versions 2.01 as supplied by
  2. Supra with their modems and 'generic' versions from GPSoftware or Supra.
  3.  
  4. Because of different versions of GPFax which have been released, there are
  5. THREE possible patch archives.
  6.  
  7. gpf22S.pch    : for Supra versions 2.01 2.5.92
  8. gpf22GA.pch    : for generic version 2.01 2nd May 1992
  9. gpf22GB.pch    : for generic version 2.01 10th June 1992

  12. Also included in all archives are a NEW printer driver, new GPFax/18 font, notes
  13. on the changes, plus a patch to upgrade printing with ViewFax.

  16. ENSURE YOU ARE WORKING WITH A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL PROGRAM.

  19. To apply the patch, execute the following line from the CLI
  20.  
  21.     Copy GPFax:GPFAX to RAM:
  22.  
  23.     CD RAM:
  24.  
  25.     lpatch -oGPFax22 -p<patchname> gpfax
  26.  
  27. This will create the new version of GPFax 2.2 as file GPFax22. 
  28. Then copy the file GPFax22 to your GPFAX: directory as GPFax.

  30.     copy GPFax22 to GPFAX:GPFax 
  31.

  33. For example, to create a new version of the supra GPFax V2.2S use
  34.  
  35.     lpatch -oGPFax22 -pgpf22S.pch gpfax
  36.  
  37. To create a new version of the 'generic' program from original
  38. version 2.01 dated 2.5.92 use
  39.

  41.     lpatch -oGPFax22 -pgpf22GA.pch gpfax
  42.  
  43. To create a new version of the 'generic' program from original
  44. version 2.01 dated 10.6.92 use
  45.

  47.     lpatch -oNEW -pgpf22GB.pch gpfax

  50. VIEWFAX 1.6 Update
  51.  
  52. To update the old viewfax program to the new version, apply the patch to the
  53. original version of viewfax 
  54.  
  55.     lpatch -oNEWVIEW -pview16.pch viewfax
